The 2E networking equipment range has been expanded with the portable PowerLink MiFi-1 4G LTE router from the 2026 model range. The device combines modem and access point functions in a compact body, offering compatibility with Ukrainian operators’ networks, support for an external antenna, and autonomous operation from any USB power source.
Mobile Internet You Can Take with You
2E PowerLink MiFi-1 is a compact 4G LTE USB router from the 2026 model range that turns mobile internet from a SIM card into a full Wi-Fi network for a laptop, smartphone, tablet, and other devices. It combines the functions of an LTE modem and a wireless access point in a body weighing 26 g.
The device has no built-in battery and is powered directly via USB. Therefore, MiFi-1 does not need to be charged: simply connect it to a laptop, mains or car USB adapter, or Powerbank – and mobile internet is ready to use.
Design That Does Not Hide the Technology
MiFi-1 is designed in a USB flash drive form factor that is unusual for networking equipment. The compact body measures 96.5 × 32 × 11.7 mm.
The body is made of transparent plastic, while the front panel has a black matte cover. The transparent element is not merely a decorative detail. It reveals part of the device’s internal structure, the electronic board, and the SIM card slot.
The front panel is made of black plastic with a pleasant matte finish, which not only gives the body a stylish appearance but also helps make minor scratches and signs of use less noticeable. A concise multi-mode LED indicator unobtrusively provides information about the device status and network connection.
For operation in weak signal conditions, a CRC-9 connector for an external LTE antenna is provided. It is covered with a plastic cap that protects it from dust and dirt during transportation and everyday use.

4G LTE Cat.4 – Speed and Wide Coverage
The mobile connection of the 2E PowerLink MiFi-1 is based on an LTE Cat.4 modem, which provides download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps on FDD-LTE networks.
Maximum theoretical speeds depend on the network type:
- 4G FDD LTE: up to 150 Mbps DL / 50 Mbps UL;
- 4G TDD LTE: up to 130 Mbps DL / 35 Mbps UL;
- 3G WCDMA: up to 21 Mbps DL / 5.76 Mbps UL.
MiFi-1 supports a wide range of 4G LTE bands: B1, B3, B7, B8, B20, B38, B40, and B41, as well as 3G B1/B8. This makes it possible to operate across different frequency layers of mobile networks: from low-frequency bands for wide coverage to higher frequencies focused on capacity.
B8 (900 MHz) and B20 (800 MHz) are particularly interesting. These are low-frequency LTE bands whose radio signals travel farther and penetrate walls and other obstacles better than signals at higher frequencies. This is why they are particularly useful outside cities, in country houses, on highways, and inside buildings, where base stations are located farther away or there are obstacles between the router and the base station.
In higher bands, such as B3 (1,800 MHz) and B7 (2,600 MHz), more resources are generally available for data transmission, so they are useful in urban areas with a high density of users, where network capacity is more important. In general, lower frequencies are primarily focused on coverage, while higher frequencies are focused on capacity and speed.
For Ukraine, this set of frequencies is particularly practical, as it enables operation with the main LTE networks of Ukrainian operators, including both urban and suburban scenarios.
The device supports nano-SIM (4FF).
Wi-Fi 4 for Simultaneous Connection of up to 10 Devices
The built-in Wi-Fi operates according to the IEEE 802.11b/g/n (Wi-Fi 4) standard in the 2.4 GHz band.
The maximum theoretical Wi-Fi speed is up to 150 Mbps, while MIMO 1×1 technology provides wireless connection for up to 10 clients simultaneously.
This is sufficient for typical scenarios:
- connecting a laptop to mobile internet;
- sharing internet with smartphones and tablets;
- backup connectivity for a workstation;
- network access while traveling;
- creating Wi-Fi in a car.
USB Modem and Wi-Fi Router in One Body
The main feature of MiFi-1 is the ability to use it in two formats.
- As a Wi-Fi router – connect the device to a USB power source, while smartphones, laptops, and other devices connect to it via Wi-Fi.
- As a USB modem – connect MiFi-1 directly to the computer’s USB port. The device supports RNDIS mode, so the mobile connection can automatically be used as the computer’s network connection, without configuration and without installing drivers.
The absence of a battery makes the design simpler and more compact and eliminates the need to charge the device regularly.
External LTE Antenna for Challenging Reception Conditions
For operation in places with a weak mobile signal, a CRC-9 connector for an external LTE antenna is provided.
The standard configuration uses:
- 1 × LTE antenna;
- 1 × LTE Diversity antenna;
- 1 × internal Wi-Fi antenna.
An external antenna can be useful at a country house, in suburban housing, in transport, or in other places where the internal antenna is insufficient for stable reception.
It is important to note that an external antenna does not increase LTE speed by itself. Its main advantage is improving signal reception conditions in challenging radio environments.
Full WebInterface
MiFi-1 settings are available through the web interface. The user can manage the mobile connection, Wi-Fi, and network functions without installing a separate application.
Available features include:
- traffic statistics viewing;
- Wi-Fi settings;
- WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK;
- MAC address filtering with white and black lists;
- Guest Wi-Fi;
- LTE band locking;
- SMS;
- USSD;
- APN settings;
- manual mobile network selection;
- RNDIS USB modem mode.
For Work, Travel, and Backup Internet
Thanks to USB power, MiFi-1 is not tied to a specific power source. It can be used with:
- a laptop or PC;
- a 5 V / 1 A USB charger;
- a car USB adapter;
- Powerbank.
This makes the device particularly practical as a backup internet source or a compact mobile router for travel.
2E PowerLink MiFi-1 is a better option for those who need compact and versatile mobile internet without a built-in battery: for a laptop, car, travel, country house, or as a backup internet connection. Its main feature is the combination of an LTE modem, Wi-Fi router, and USB network adapter in one compact body with the option to connect an external LTE antenna.
