Intuitive Interface and Easy Operation
Thanks to the convenient and easy-to-use UI 2E v2.0 interface with a dark theme, it’s simple to access all the phone’s functions. The menu is developed according to W3C accessibility standards for non-touchscreen devices (simple fonts, large-scale text, a minimum 3:1 contrast ratio between UI elements and background, intuitive menus and icons). Users can quickly find the functions and settings they need with no extra effort. The large, high-contrast menu font (14 pixels / 3.7 mm) is readable and clear. The dialer font size is 30 pixels (8 mm). The graphical interface is intuitive, with large, bright icons. Everything in this phone is designed for user convenience, including a Main Menu with two display modes: a 12-section icon grid and a text list view. The list can be easily customized by expanding or shortening the number of commonly used sections. The central joystick button can be programmed for quick launch of four apps, and the lower keys (*, 0, #) activate the voice recorder, flashlight or sound profile change with a long press.
A Functional Assistant
The 2E E280 model supports two SIM cards from GSM 900/1800 network operators. To store personal ringtones, contacts, music files and other important information, the phone features an expansion slot supporting microSD cards of up to 16 GB.
The phone includes a convenient and bright flashlight with three modes: steady light, slow and fast flashing. Turn it on either through the menu or by pressing the "0" key. In a dark entrance, on the street in the evening or near the door, the flashlight helps user to see better and avoid tripping. When it blinks, the user becomes more visible to drivers — an extra layer of safety when walking along the road. It is especially convenient that you do not need to look for a separate flashlight — everything is already in the phone.
The phonebook holds up to 300 contacts. Each contact can have a personal ringtone (chosen from six pre-installed tones or from the microSD card). Assign a photo to each contact, which will appear on the large display whenever that person calls. Contacts can be imported from a VCF file stored on the microSD card or transferred via Bluetooth.
Speed dial is available for keys 2 to 9—eight numbers in total. This is especially convenient for users who regularly call a close circle of family and friends. Just press and hold a numeric key and within 3 seconds, the phone will dial the assigned contact.
The Voice Recorder app can be quickly launched by pressing the * key—useful for recording conversations or dictating notes and ideas. The phone also supports call recording. Audio files are saved to the microSD card with filenames that include the date and time for easy navigation and retrieval.
The 2E E280 features a built-in FM radio that works without internet access and does not require wired headphones as an external antenna. The FM antenna is integrated into the device itself. However, if the radio tower is too far away, better reception can be achieved by plugging in wired headphones, which serve as an external antenna via the 3.5 mm audio jack.
Create playlists using the audio player and listen to mp3 music files from the microSD card. Audio playback is available through the phone’s speaker, wired headphones or wireless Bluetooth audio devices (headphones, speakers, car stereos).
The phone also comes preloaded with several useful applications, including a voice recorder, calendar, stopwatch, timer, alarm clock (5 pcs.) with a voice reminder options and the classic Snake game.
This phone features a special SOS function that can be a lifesaver in emergency situations. If help is needed, simply press and hold the SOS button for 10 seconds. The device will then automatically call up to five contacts and send them a message with the user’s location. Loved ones will be able to find the user’s position on the map, ensuring help can be provided quickly when needed.
Protection from Unwanted Calls
The phone takes care of the peace of mind – users can easily avoid calls from scammers or strangers. The Blacklist feature allows blocking any number so it can no longer reach the user. There’s also a special option: the phone can automatically reject calls from numbers not saved in the user’s contacts. This is especially convenient for those who prefer to communicate only with family and acquaintances.
The Whitelist feature is also available – users can add important numbers (family, doctor or friends). When someone from this list calls, the phone will automatically answer after a few seconds, so there’s no need to rush to press buttons.
Autonomy
The phone is equipped with a powerful 1,500 mAh battery that ensures long operation without frequent charging. In standby mode, the device can last up to 20 days. When Power Saving Mode is enabled, this time increases by another 20%. With moderate use for calls and SMS, the phone can run up to 5 days. Another key advantage is the Type-C charging port – there's no need to worry about which way to plug in the charger. Charging has become much faster and more convenient.
