Scratch-Resistant Keyboard
The keyboard block shape has been updated: now the keys are placed on an arc for more convenient device use, and their size has also been increased. The keys are made of transparent acrylic, the inscriptions (alphabet and numbers) are printed on the substrate, and not on the surface, that makes it impossible to erase the symbols during typing or dialing numbers. The back panel has a 3D texture and lacquer finish.
Friendly Interface and Management
The UI 2E v2.0 branded graphical interface has a dark theme, is intuitive and features large (full-screen) icons. The large, 14 pixels (3.7 mm) high contrast font is readable and legible, while the dialer font size is 27 pixels (7.2 mm). For convenience, the phone’s main menu has two display types – a carousel of large icons and a text list of menu sections without icons. The central joystick key can be programmed to quickly launch four programs, while the lower *, 0, # keys, when pressed for a long time, activate the recorder, flashlight and change sound profiles, respectively.
Work with Two SIM Cards
2E E180 (2023) supports two SIM cards of «standard» size (mini-SIM 2FF) and a microSD memory card of up to 16 GB, where you can store personal ringtones, contacts, music files and other necessary information.
Contacts
The phone book memory is enough to store 500 contacts. In addition, it is possible to set a personal melody for each of them, you can choose one of six preset melodies from the phone’s memory or a melody from a microSD memory card. It is possible to save two numbers for each contact, that is convenient, because the vast majority use the services of several mobile operators. You can also import contacts in a .vcf file stored on a microSD card or transfer via Bluetooth from another device. It is also possible to «bind» eight phonebook numbers to 2-9 keys for quick dialing. A «Black List» is available to block unwanted contacts. With the «White List» function, you can block all incoming calls, except for calls from numbers that are included in the allowed list.
FM Receiver
The on-air FM receiver with a built-in antenna in the 2E E180 2023 phone works without Internet access. That is, to listen to FM, you do not need to connect wired headphones as an antenna. However, of course, for better reception of the FM radio signal, you can use wired headphones by connecting them to the 3.5 mm audio jack.
You can set your favorite FM station to the signal of one of 5 alarms. Also, the alarm tone can be a voice reminder recorded on the phone’s voice recorder and saved on the microSD card.
Audio Player
The audio player allows you to create playlists by playing MP3 music files stored on a microSD card. You can listen to music through the phone speaker, wired headphones or wireless Bluetooth audio devices (headphones, speakers, car stereos).
Flashlight
The bright flashlight is turned on by the quick key 0 and has two light modes – constant light and flashing. On dark streets and pedestrian crossings, the flashing mode will make the user more visible to drivers. The flashlight’s LED also flashes in case of incoming calls and receiving SMS (the function can be controlled through the «Call Settings» menu).
Useful Programs
The phone has several useful pre-installed applications, including: Voice Recorder, Calendar with event planner, Stopwatch, Timer, Alarm clock with the ability to record voice and text reminders, the popular «Snake» game.
SOS Function
The proprietary SOS function, thanks to which in an emergency situation an auto-dial is made to five trusted numbers, provides the ability to receive LBS-coordinates of the phone’s location from the mobile operator’s network and send them via SMS. Using publicly available Internet resources, you can determine the phone’s location on the map based on LBS coordinates in a matter of minutes.
Camera
The 0.3 MP camera (software interpolation) allows you to take pictures of acceptable quality of text documents (advertisements, payment receipts, etc.) and store them on a microSD card. The camera has a software 4x zoom and can be used as a magnifying glass for reading small text, such as in a newspaper or contract. For convenience, the phone case has a hole for attaching a strap.
Autonomy
A battery with a capacity of 1,000 mAh of the most common BL-5C type in the world is the key to long-term device autonomy. Without recharging, the phone will operate up to 14 days in standby mode, and with the «Energy Saving» function turned on, the operating time will increase by another 15%. When using in the moderate mode (for making calls and sending SMS), the phone’s operating time is up to 5 days. Should you ever need to upgrade your battery, a new BL-5C can be purchased at any electronics retailer or online store.
